 姜筠（1847－1919），字颖生，别号大雄山民，安徽省怀宁人。光绪十七年（1891）举人，官礼部主事。1913年梁启超在北京雅集词人诗友于万牲园，举行癸丑上巳修禊，颖生曾作图纪念。

姜筠工书画，书法学苏轼，兼善篆刻。山水专学王翚，笔墨浓重，苍润古秀，殊乏清疏之气，间作花卉。工写兼至，别有韵味。《深山白云 图》画大山、坡岸、房屋、渔舟，一派生机勃勃的景象。山中白云飘浮，更衬托了远山的深远，山上密密杂树寓意着新的生命处在潜伏的酝酿 期。姜筠作画以古法入，在借鉴古人笔意上又力图摆脱古人，从而寻找自己的绘画道路。图中的山石树木借鉴古法，重视造化，而点缀其中的 房屋、渔舟、云气正是表现了人的伟大和大自然的永恒。

 Jiang Yun (1847-1919), the character Yingsheng, nicknamed Daxiong Shanmin, is from Huaining, Anhui Province. In the 17th year of Guangxu (1891), he was appointed as the chief official of the Ministry of Civil Service. In 1913, Liang Qichao, a poet friend of the Beijing Elegant Collection, held a ceremony to repair ugly people in Wanzao Garden. Yingsheng once made a picture to commemorate it.

Jiang Yungong's calligraphy and painting, Su Shi's calligraphy, and good seal carving. Wang Jian, who is a scholar of Landscape College, has a strong brush and ink, is graceful and ancient, but lacks the air of freshness, and intercrops with flowers. Work and writing at the same time, do not have charm. "Deep Mountain White Cloud Picture" paints mountains, slopes, houses, fishing boats, a vibrant scene. White clouds floating in the mountains, but also set off the far-reaching mountains, dense trees on the mountains imply that new life is in the latent brewing period. Jiang Yun's paintings are based on the ancient method, trying to get rid of the ancients in drawing lessons from the ancients'brushwork, so as to find his own way of painting. The rocks and trees in the picture draw lessons from the ancient method and attach importance to the creation. The houses, fishing boats and clouds embellished in the picture represent the greatness of human beings and the eternity of nature.
