魏之璜，字考叔，上元(今江苏南京)人，尧臣之子。出身孤贫，以卖画糊口，养老亲，抚诸弟，尤为时钦。能书，师法《黄庭经》，结构严密，神采流丽。工画山水，宗宋人，画时不袭粉本，出以己意，生平画幅绝无雷同。晚年用浓墨秃笔，尤见苍劲，但稍乏风韵。画花卉宗王渊，淡墨花卉清逸雅秀，颇有天然之趣。亦善面佛像，每月画大士像施诸寺院。能诗，诗名为画所掩。传世作品有《设色山水》、《山村图》等。
