张復（1546—约1631），字元春，号苓石，江苏太仓人。少年时从钱榖学画，山水摹荆浩、关仝、马远、夏珪、黄公望、沈周，博采众长，晚年自成一家，为吴门画派名家。
       《潇湘八景》此图册绘湘江流域一带的八处胜景，依次为：烟寺晚钟、潇湘夜雨、渔村夕照、洞庭秋月、平沙落雁、山市晴岚、远浦归帆、江天暮雪，笔触细致，墨色精良，款署“庚戌秋月写潇湘八景，张復。”庚戌为公元1610年，时年作者65岁。
