擅长人物、动物、花鸟画，尤擅画水墨动物。他的水墨动物画，以写实手法表现，造型准确，结构严谨、生动传神。其作品特色是深厚、奔放、简练，具整体性和内涵。近些年来，他的作品曾先后参加中外无数的展出，给各地观众留下深刻难忘的印象，并受到中外艺术界和收藏界的极高评价。并出版有《王向阳画鸡图》、《王向阳花鸟画集》等多本专集。
现为中国当代名人书画家协会副主席、中国古今艺术研究院副院长、国家一级美术师、中国书画收藏研究院理事、世界名家书画院理事、中国艺术家联合会理事、中国美术家协会河南省分会会员。现居北京，职业画家。其作品风格独具，造型典雅，笔墨遒劲，在传统基础上力主创新。
作品《大吉大利图》《盛世大吉图》等作品多次入河南美展及国家美展，并被《艺术界》、《中国收藏》、《中国美术报》、《中国艺术》、《中国书画》等报刊发表，部分作品被日本、美国、法国等海外友人收藏。

 Wang Xiangyang was born in Henan in 1972. Graduated from the Department of Art, Henan University, Beijing Academy of Painting. Shi Qi, the founder of Sanxiang, and famous painters Shi Guoliang, Yuan Wu, Wang Mingming, Wang Peidong, Wang Wenfang, Li Xiaoke, Chen Yuming, etc. He is good at creating flowers, birds, animals and figure paintings. He has ink and ink animals, such as 100 chickens, 100 cattle, 100 pigs, 100 donkeys, 100 rabbits, 100 dogs, 100 rats and 100 horses.

In 2006, he was invited to participate in the thirteenth Henan Flower and Bird National Exhibition, and his work "Dew in March in Yangchun" won the award.

In 2008, his works "JiuNiu Opera Lotus Tu" and "Qinglian Wuniu Tu" were selected into Henan National Art Exhibition and won prizes.

In 2010, Henan Ninth Chinese Painting Art Exhibition, his work "Under the Taihang Mountains" was selected and published in newspapers and magazines, causing a sensation in the field of Chinese painting.

In 2011, his works were selected for the 90th Anniversary Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition of the Party, and were collected by Henan Academy of Calligraphy and Painting.

He is good at drawing characters, animals, flowers and birds, especially ink and wash animals. His ink and wash animal paintings are realistic, accurate in shape, rigorous in structure, vivid and vivid. His works are characterized by depth, boldness, conciseness, integrity and connotation. In recent years, his works have participated in numerous exhibitions at home and abroad, leaving a deep impression on audiences around the world, and have been highly praised by the art and collection circles at home and abroad. He has also published many special collections such as Wang Xiangyang's Chicken Painting and Wang Xiangyang's Flower and Bird Painting Collection.

Now he is the vice-chairman of the Association of Chinese Contemporary Celebrity Calligraphers and Painters, the vice-chairman of the Academy of Ancient and Modern Art of China, the first-class national artist, the director of the Academy of Chinese Calligraphy and Painting Collection, the director of the Academy of World Celebrity Calligraphy and Painting, the director of the Chinese Artists Federation, and the member of Hen Now living in Beijing, a professional painter. His works are unique in style, elegant in shape and vigorous in brush and ink. He advocates innovation on the basis of tradition.

His works such as "Great Auspicious Italy Tu" and "Great Auspicious Age Tu" have entered Henan Art Exhibition and National Art Exhibition for many times, and have been published in such newspapers as "Art Circle", "China Collection", "China Art Newspaper", "Chinese Art" and "Chinese Calligraphy and Painting". Some of his works have been collected by overseas friends such as Japan, the United States and France.
