他从小喜爱绘画艺术，多次参加全市中小学生书画展，潜心钻研人物、山水、花鸟画，得到了熊钢如、陆如、赖德全、宁勤征、侯一波等许多大师的指点，立足传统，紧随时代，创作出了一批为人们喜闻乐见、雅俗共赏的作品，深得收藏者的喜爱，作品多次荣获国家省市大奖，被国家、省、市博物馆和陶瓷馆收藏。2007 年被授予“中国收藏家喜爱的陶瓷艺术精英”和“中国名人艺术家”称号，2008年被授予”世界陶瓷艺术大师”、 “瓷都骄子”和“中国(江西)红色旅游博览会暨首届中国(江西)旅游商品(工艺品)十佳”称号，2009年被授予“中国工艺美术大师”称号。
尤其是，他画的虾形神兼备，深得齐白石大师的神韵，又有自己鲜明的个性和独特的表现方式，用水已臻化境，虾身透明质感，永远是湿淋淋的，虾须直中有曲、乱中有序、似柔实刚、似断实连、似动非动，好像真的生活在水中；看似容易，实则极难，具有较高的艺术感染力和收藏价值。

他写的《中国水墨画与陶瓷艺术虾创作》一文发表在《景德镇陶瓷》杂志2006年第1期上，300件青花《有虾则灵》瓷瓶入选上海世博会“景德镇陶瓷60周年成就展”。《虾趣图》获第九届中国工艺美术大师精品博览会创新艺术金奖。青花瓷板《有虾则灵》获中国工艺美术百花奖（莆田）银奖，釉上彩《有虾则灵》瓷板获“华月杯”江西省迎奥运工艺美术大奖赛金奖，《清香》获“恒富杯”第二届中国山西国际书画艺术展暨首届洪洞大槐树国际书画艺术展一等奖，《渔归图》荣获中国书画收藏研究院最高奖项“特等奖”，作品被编入《当代书画收藏精品荐览》第二卷，《中华名人》、《景德镇陶瓷艺术家精品选》和江西画报《陶瓷艺术与收藏》。景德镇党刊和景德镇日报介绍了其人和作品，景德镇市人才网和《景德镇艺术陶瓷名人索引》也榜上有名。
同时，他还是一位极富爱心和责任感的人，汶川大地震和南方水灾时踊跃捐款捐画，将拍卖所得全部献给灾区人民，弘扬了“一方有难，八方支援”的中华民族传统美德。

He loved painting art since childhood, participated in the city's primary and secondary school students'painting and calligraphy exhibition many times, and devoted himself to the study of figures, landscapes, flowers and birds. Especially, he painted shrimp with both shape and spirit, which is full of the charm of Master Qi Baishi. He also has his own distinct personality and unique way of expression. The shrimp body is transparent and always wet with water. The shrimp must be straight and melodious, orderly, soft and rigid, as if it really lives in the water. His article "Creation of Shrimp in Chinese Ink Painting and Ceramic Art" was published in the first issue of Jingdezhen Ceramics magazine in 2006. 300 blue and white "Shrimp Zeling" porcelain bottles were selected for the "60th Anniversary Achievement Exhibition of Jingdezhen Ceramics" of Shanghai World Expo. "Shrimp Interest Picture" won the Gold Prize of Innovative Art in the 9th China Arts and Crafts Master Exhibition. Blue-and-white porcelain plate "You shrimp Zeling" won the silver prize of the Hundred Flowers Prize of Chinese Arts and Crafts (Putian). Glazed porcelain plate "You shrimp Zeling" won the gold prize of the "Huayue Cup" in Jiangxi Province to welcome the Olympic Arts and Crafts Grand Prix. Qingxiang won the second China Shanxi International Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition and the first Hongdong International Calligraphy and Painting Exhibition.
