邬建安现为中央美术学院实验艺术学院副教授、硕士生导师，中国美协实验艺委会委员，文化部恭王府中华传统技艺研究与保护中心研究员。多年来，邬建安专注于将当代的激进美学和文化态度带入濒临绝迹的中国民间艺术传统，中西方的文化传统和智慧经验一直是邬建安艺术创作的灵感源泉，他善于以当代的观念对经典的文学、宗教和哲学文本进行重新解读，建立其与个体精神世界的联系，发掘其中潜藏的有关当代社会和文化现实的问题，并通过综合性的材料和形式语言探索，从观念、内容和艺术形态等多个层面建构传统与当代的转换与融合。

 Wu Jianan is an associate professor and tutor of master's degree in the School of Experimental Arts of the Central Academy of Fine Arts, a member of the Experimental Arts Committee of the Chinese Association of Fine Arts, and a researcher of the Center for Research and Protection of Traditional Chinese Arts in Gongwangfu, Ministry of Culture. For many years, Hu Jian'an has focused on bringing contemporary radical aesthetics and cultural attitudes into the endangered Chinese folk art tradition. Chinese and Western cultural traditions and wisdom experience have always been the source of inspiration for his artistic creation. He is good at reinterpreting classical literary, religious and philosophical texts with contemporary concepts. To establish its connection with the individual spiritual world, to explore the underlying problems of contemporary social and cultural reality, and through the exploration of comprehensive materials and formal language, to construct the transformation and integration of tradition and contemporary from the concepts, contents and artistic forms.
