马新林，祖籍山东省莱西市，1956年10月1日出生于济南市。毕业于广州美术学院中国画系，获文学硕士学位，现为中国美术家协会会员部主任，中国美术家协会理事，中国美术家协会创作中心主任，中央国家机关书画协会副主席，中国画学会创会理事，中央美术学院客座教授、广州美术学院客座教授、硕士生导师，中国书法家协会会员，荣宝斋特聘专家，曾获“关山月中国画教学基金”一等奖，并获首届“德艺双馨”中国书协会员称号。

2012年3月12日画家马新林为纪念毛泽东《在延安文艺座谈会上的讲话》发表70周年，备战即将举办的中国美协写生大展，马新林等全国20多位知名美术家抵达广西龙胜县、三江县，展开创作采风写生活动，为大展准备素材。

马新林，祖籍山东莱西，1956年出生于济南。现为中国美术家协会理事、中国美术家协会会员部主任、广州美术学院客座教授、硕士研究生导师。自幼喜爱绘画，年龄稍长，又用功于书法篆刻。在孔孟之乡和九朝古都洛阳浸淫了三十余年后，浓厚的中国传统文化的氛围对他的成长产生了潜移默化的影响。1983年，马新林参加了孙其峰教授的花鸟画学习班，得以向孙先生讨教。1989年，已经是高等院校讲师的他为了实现儿时的梦想，毅然丢弃原专业，考入广州美术学院中国画系，师从尚涛教授，攻读中国画专业、书法篆刻研究方向硕士学位，兼习绘画。三年的学院生活为他打下了坚实的专业基础。后来马新林又正式拜孙其峰先生为师，成为孙先生的入室弟子。从此，在尚涛和孙其峰两位先生的耳提面命之下，深得两位先生艺术之精髓。

多年以来，马新林书、画、印兼修，又勤于读书、研古、探新，由于有着雄强的书法根基和深厚的文学素养。马新林笔下的禽鸟和花卉用笔干净利落，笔力遒劲，生动优雅，在传达出花鸟绘画优美动人的同时，更能使欣赏者感受到他笔下的书写之美和抒情愉悦和画家张扬个性、寻求突破、追求卓越的心胸气概。

马新林对中国传统写意笔墨，有至深的临习和研究，却不受传统所囿，通过广泛的写生与大自然之美的领悟，在细致观察生活的同时做到了神韵传达的生动和造型用笔的精准，使得其绘画作品生气勃发，郁郁生动。闲落枝头的小鸟，徘徊花阴的鹌鹑，振翅飞翔、穿梭于花木间的麻雀和异鸟无不神态安闲，仿佛其婉转的啼鸣就在耳畔，将人带入意境丰厚的画境。

据悉，此次展览将持续到2012年5月13日。

展览策划人之一、北京弘宝博艺文化发展有限公司董事总经理常红表示，展览筹备近5个月，汇集了我国近现代国画大师的精品力作90幅，不少为国宝级佳作。其中包括25位应邀参展的中国当代最具影响力著名画家的50幅精品，希望通过展览让澳门民众近距离感受这些精美绝伦的画作，也希望来到澳门的世界各地的朋友通过观展了解中国深厚的传统文化，享受一次难得的艺术之旅。

本次展览开幕前，主办方特别组织了一场大陆艺术家与澳门本地艺术家的笔会活动，李宝林、方楚雄、尚涛、满维起、杨明义、马新林、孙志钧、刘建、朱道平等内地画家，在开幕仪式前与澳门当地画家雅集，切磋问艺，妙笔迭出。
