沈凡原名沈涤凡，浙江诸暨人。擅长漫画、中国画、水彩画、美术教育。1929年在上海艺海美专学习，1935年任上海世界书局美术编辑。1953年任《解放日报》美术编辑，《劳动报》编委、画刊编辑科长，中国美术家协会上海分会办公室主任，上海美术专科学校油画系副主任，1975年任上海包装装潢公司、包装装潢研究中心部部长。作品有漫画《收我做徒儿吧》，中国画《竹修林茂遍野绿、鸟语花香满园春》、《苍松飞瀑》、《月到中秋分外明》等。
