周亚鸣，1957年生，江苏镇江人。1985年毕业于四川美术学院，1999年于中国艺术研究院国画名家研修班深造。为新文人画派重要画家。现任中国艺术研究院特聘教授，镇江美术家协会主席。参与编写《中国美术史全集·隋唐卷》。由河北教育出版社出版《中国名画家精品集——周亚鸣》、《二十世纪下半叶国画家——新文人画·周亚鸣》，南大出版社出版《亚鸣书画集》，台北出版《亚鸣家庭画展》专辑，另发表《文人化的绘画道路》、《生动论》等有关国画研究的多篇论文。
