汉族，河北黄骅人。毕业于中捷农业技术学校机电班，自学绘画，1978年在南大港文化馆、1984年在沧州地区群艺馆、1993年在沧州画院工作。现为沧州画院专业画家，中国美术家协会会员，河北省花鸟研究会副会长，一级美术师。
田云鹏自学绘画，擅长工笔花鸟画，作品入选第六、七、九届全国美展，“首届全国中国画大展”等多项国内外展览并多次获奖。作品曾被中南海、天安门、全国工商联、中国画研究院、京丰宾馆多家美术馆、纪念馆、博物馆、美协等国内外单位收藏。出版有《田云鹏画集》、《艺苑珍赏—田云鹏花鸟画选》、《田云鹏作品选》、《鸽子、鹌鹑画法》、《工笔花鸟画法》、《工笔扇面画法》、《百杰画家—田云鹏作品精选》、《中国画名家选粹—田云鹏新作品》等画集。
