曹凤池，浙江海宁人。1945年至1955年投身革命参加新四军，在原“华东雪枫大学”学军事、学文化美术，结业后编为华东野战军战地美术记者，发表众多美术作品，屡建战功。被中华人民共和国国防部授予金质解放奖章。

1955年考入中央美术学院华东分院师从刘开渠、潘天寿学雕塑国画。毕业后受命到江苏组建江苏雕塑队伍，领导《淮海战役纪念塔》大型雕塑创作任务。1961年《人民日报》、《解放军报》发表、介绍曹凤池雕塑作品《红军与赤卫队》，作品被井冈山博物馆收藏。

“文革”后受聘南京博物院从事书画鉴定、国画创作。触类旁通，书画雕塑两催发，作品满盈，多次得奖和被博物馆、美术馆收藏。调任江苏省美术馆专职美术家期间，作品参加各种类型画展和雕塑展；并受邀赴家乡和各地举办个人国画作品展，《牧读图》、《碧螺春茶》、《知音图》等被各级美术馆收藏。多次赴欧美考察，赴墨西哥、美国纽约随展讲学，国画作品被墨西哥国家博物馆收藏。

21世纪初在江苏省美术馆举办“曹凤池从艺65周年国画雕塑展”，多件雕塑作品捐献江苏省美术馆收藏，同时，被国务院、中央军委授予“抗日战争胜利奖章”。

现为中国美术家协会会员，中国雕塑家学会学术委员，原江苏省雕塑艺委会委员，江苏国际文化交流中心理事，江苏省美术馆专业画家，国家一级美术师、教授。
