王剑云，侗族，祖籍贵州天柱。1968年生于贵州贵阳。毕业于贵州民族学院美术学院国画专业及贵州师范大学美术学院美术教育专业；2001年文化部重彩画高级研修班结业，受业于胡明哲、唐勇力等师。现为贵阳学院美术系国画专业教师。贵州省美术家协会会员，贵州画院特聘画师，北京工笔重彩画会会员，中国文化艺术发展促进会会员。
