侯吉谅，台湾嘉义人，台湾著名书法家、书法教育家。

早年师承江兆申先生，曾获“时报文学奖”等多项奖项。兼擅现代文学、书画篆刻创作，并长期致力笔墨、纸张的材料研究，以及书法教学。已在中国台湾、日本、美国举行多次个展，出版诗集《交响诗》等七本，散文集《神来之笔》等十六本，画册《画品与纸品》等七本。

他为推广书法教育不遗余力，首创以几何、力学解析书法观念及技巧，并将多年书写秘技公开于《如何写书法》，期许让更多喜爱书法的人少走冤枉路。本书出版后，在台湾地区大受欢迎，成为最畅销的书法教材，媒体赞誉“书法入门，有这一本就够了”。
