王复羊(1935.12—2008.1)笔名王复祥，满族，辽宁大连人。擅长漫画、美术编辑。1951年毕业于鲁迅艺术学院，1979年曾当选中国美协青海分会副主席。历任东北画报、北京日报、青海日报和《青海湖》文学月刊美编，中国美协青海分会副主席，北京晚报编委兼美术摄影部主任，《中国漫画》主编，北京市文联副主席、北京市美术家协会主席。中国美协漫画艺术委员会副主任，北京市美术家协会理事。

从50年代中期开始创作漫画，但作品不多。1980年以后主攻漫画，作品发表在多家报刊上。作品有《子夜曲》、《数十年如一日》、《报账》等。出版有《王复羊漫画选》、《中国漫画书系·王复羊卷》、《礼仪漫画》、《漫画中国皇帝大观》等。?　　王复羊早年毕业于鲁迅美术学院，坎坷的人生之路磨炼了他外柔内刚的个性，讴歌时代、扬善抑恶成为他一生创作的宗旨。他热恋民族传统绘画，在从事漫画创作的几十年中从未放弃对中国画的思考和研习，我们从他那刚劲线条、深邃意境、风发性灵的漫画作品中，可以领略到中国画的意境和笔墨情趣。　　他的画，与其说是精心描绘，莫如说是真情的流露。在他以漫画针砭社会时弊的同时，自身灵魂也得到净化；在鞭挞社会上假、恶、丑的同时，真、善、美就得到了张扬。　　王复羊先生，因病医治无效，于2008年1月15日12时15分在北京逝世，享年74岁。
