1987年毕业于中＊工艺美术学院史论系并留校，

1996年获得美术学博士学位。曾任《装饰》编辑、副社长，执行创办《雕塑》杂志、任副主编。兼任中国美协 雕塑艺委会秘书长。编著《工艺创造学》、《第三类美术批评》。主编《奇思妙想——国外美术设计集》、《中日现代美术总览》、《千年伟世珍宝鉴赏》、《外国绘画经典》、《中外雕塑经典》等。现为清华大学美术学院副教授，“公共艺术”、“艺术传播”等专业方向硕士研究生指导教师，中国美术家协会理事、雕塑艺术委员会秘书长、理论委员会委员，北京国际美术双年展策划委员，建设部全国城市雕塑建设指导委员会艺术委员会委员，首都规划建设委员会专家顾问，北京城市环境与建筑科学学会艺术委员会委员，

“2008奥运会雕塑景观总体规划论证”课题主持人。

  In 1987, he graduated from the Department of History and Theory of Zhongyi Academy of Arts and Crafts and remained in school.

He received a doctorate in Fine Arts in 1996. He was editor and deputy president of Decoration, executive founder and deputy editor of Sculpture Magazine. He also serves as Secretary-General of the Sculpture Arts Committee of the Chinese Artistic Association. He compiled Craft Creativity and Art Criticism of the Third Category. Editor-in-chief "Wonderful Ideas - Foreign Art Design Collection", "Overview of Modern Chinese and Japanese Art", "Treasure Appreciation of Millennium Great World", "Foreign Painting Classics", "Chinese and Foreign Sculpture Classics" and so on. Currently, he is an associate professor of the Academy of Fine Arts of Tsinghua University, a tutor for master's degree students in public art and art communication, a director of the Chinese Artists Association, secretary-general of the Sculpture Art Committee, a member of the Theoretical Committee, a planning member of the Beijing International Art Biennial Exhibition, a member of the National Urban Sculpture Construction Steering Committee of the Ministry of Construction, and a member of the Capital Planning and Construction Committee Expert Consultant, Member of Art Committee of Beijing Society of Urban Environment and Architecture Sciences,
