图绘室内一居士长跪蒲团上,双手合十,前方圆案上供佛像、香炉、经册,屋外双树围绕。人物衣纹用线简劲流畅而略显虬曲,屋舍及屋外双树用笔朴拙厚重,体现了金石笔意。礼佛图是宋元以来比较常见的题材,不同于蕃王礼佛、龙王礼佛等宗教意涵较强的题材,居士礼佛更注重个人的宗教和情感体验。金农晚年静心事佛,该图融入了他个人的宗教体验和情感,生拙的笔意、富有的层次水墨与虔诚的情感相交融,使全画体现出静谧的禅意。

In the drawing room, a dwelling scholar kneels on a PU tuft with his hands folded, with Buddha statues, incense burners and scriptures on the front circular case and twin trees around the outside. The figure's clothing lines are simple, smooth and slightly curved, while the two trees outside the house and the house are simple and heavy, reflecting the meaning of the epigraphy. Ritual Buddha Tu is a common theme since Song and Yuan Dynasty. It is different from other religions with strong religious connotations, such as the Buddha of the King of Tibet and the Buddha of the Dragon King. Residents pay more attention to personal religious and emotional experience. Jin Nong meditated on Buddha in his later years. This picture incorporates his personal religious experience and emotions. His crude brushwork, rich levels of ink and piety blend with each other, so that the whole painting reflects a quiet Zen.
