--------Introduction in English--------
"Bailongtan Tu" axis, Qing, Mei Qing, paper, color, 183.1 cm vertical, 48.9 cm horizontal.
Self-titled: "Cangsong Cuibi Waterfall sounds wonderful. I don't know about the summer trip in June. Fairy is nowhere to find, Bailongtan stands for a long time. Bailongtan imitates the meaning of Pine and Snow, and Qushan Meiqing combines the theme. Jun's "Quqingqing" and "Yuangong" seals.
Mei Qing once traveled to Huangshan, and was intoxicated with its changeable smoke and clouds, magnificent and charming scenery, so he created many works to express the scenery of Huangshan.
The picture shows Bailongtan, one of the five dragon pools in Songyan River in the north of Huangshan Mountains. Because of the abundant rainfall, Huangshan has formed various water sceneries. River streams, waterfalls and deep pools often connect with each other to form the most vigorous landscape of Huangshan. When Mei Qing painted Huangshan, he started with sketching and added his subjective feelings. Then he highlighted Huangshan's strange, steep, dangerous and beautiful artistic conception with bold and spicy brushes, showing his bold and unrestrained painting style combined with elegant and spiritual, giving people a strong artistic infection.
The author also pays great attention to the composition of the waterfall, which highlights the magnificent momentum of the waterfall. Several groups of lush pine trees are hidden at the end of the waterfall, avoiding the artistic expression of straightforward, and setting off the atmosphere of the picture from the side. The stone walls on both sides of the waterfall are dyed with heavy ink, leaving blanks in the rest, which increases the spatial sense of the picture. Skillful composition, consistent brushwork and appropriate shades of ink make the picture full and complete without any confusion.
