画面奇峰峻岭,苍松翠柏,琼楼水阁,溶洞流溪,云烟缥缈其间,山壑或隐或现。溪水潺湲的溶洞前,一隐士临流盘膝,停琴静坐,侍童们忙着煮茶、端盘、陈设古玩,俨然人间仙境。这类隐逸题材作品十分多见,而仇英在幽美宁静的意境中表现了一种明快的情调,健康的意趣,在同类作品中颇具特色。
作品取景宏阔,结构严整,层次清晰,布局有序,景物繁杂而不拥塞,人物虽小但刻画精细,位置突出,反映出画家在驾驭复杂场景、安排主从次序方面精深的造诣。此图用大青绿设色,细劲的线条勾勒轮廓,浓艳的石青石绿渲染山石,同时融以细密的皴法,追求色调的和谐,在宗法南宋青绿山水大家赵伯驹的基础上有所变化,代表了仇英青绿山水的典型画风。
此图左下署款“仇英实父制”,钤“仇实父氏”印,有“卞令之鉴定”等鉴藏印14方。

In front of the cave in the creek, a hermit stood on his knees, stopped playing the piano and sat quietly. The waiters were busy cooking tea, serving dishes and displaying antiques, just like a fairyland on earth. This kind of reclusive theme works are very common, and Qiu Ying expresses a lively mood and healthy interest in the quiet and beautiful mood, which is quite distinctive in similar works.
The work has broad view, strict structure, clear layers, orderly layout, complex scenery without congestion, small but delicate characters, prominent positions, reflecting the painter's profound accomplishments in controlling complex scenes and arranging the order of masters and subordinates. This picture uses big blue and green color, delicate lines to outline, rich blue stone green to render mountains and stones, and at the same time combines fine graining method to pursue harmony of tones. It changes on the basis of Zhao Boju, the master of Qing and Green Landscape in Southern Song Dynasty, which represents the typical painting style of Qiu Ying's Qing and Green Landscape.
In the lower left of the picture, the signature "Qiu Ying Shi Father System" and "Qiu Shi Father Father System" are signed. There are 14 sides of the seal, such as "Bian Ling's Identification".
