This picture takes advantage of the vertical composition and makes small pieces of alum on the top of the mountain, which adds a delicate sense of rhythm and movement to the magnificent mountains. The dense jungle among the valleys adds a breath of life to the vast mountains. In the picture, the mountain stones are wiped with hemp and chaff, and their clear and elegant lines create an ethereal mood of the picture.
This picture is one of Wang Fei's representative works in his later years, which imitated "Yanfuyuan Xiu Tu" by Juran of Song Dynasty. According to the title of Wang Fei's imitation of Juran's painting fan of the same name (now Tibetan Palace Museum), Wang Fei first saw Juran's "Yanfu Yuanxiu Tu" in "Taishi of Pilingzhuang", when he was 42 years old (ugly, 1673), "Juran's"Yanfu Yuanxiu Tu"is now in Taishi of Pilingzhuang, the first ink treasure in Zhenhai. I'll take a look at it for the rest of my life. Send it to Mr. Wen Chuanzun." Another long sentence, the paragraph "Ugly on the sun, Shigu re-recognition." From then on, Wang Fei constantly imitated Juran's Picture of Smoke Floating on the Far Headland, or entertained himself, or sent friends to remember. His replica of Chongguang is currently in the University of Princeton Art Museum. According to the printing of Wang Zao-ru's book on the map, we can see that this picture is his work of sending friends Wang Zao-ru.
