《老子道德经》卷,元,吴叡书,隶书,纸本,纵24.8厘米,横400.7厘米。
此卷是吴叡为“虚碧道士”书录的老子《道德经》全文。
署款:“元统三年乙亥正月朔,濮阳吴叡为虚碧道士书于观复堂。”款下钤“吴叡私印”。
鉴藏印钤“项元汴家珍藏”、“墨林祕玩”、“张伯骏范我氏精玩书画之印”、“宜尔子孙”、“张子止菴秘笈之印”、“翁伯达氏”等。
卷后有明胡子昂题七言诗一首、题记一段。
此卷《道德经》前附有白描《老子授经图》及清乾隆、嘉庆、宣统内府诸收藏印。图左下角落元盛懋款,说明此卷当时以画而收藏,但经考证此款系后添,非盛氏手笔,而在后纸胡子昂题跋中也未提及此图,只论吴叡书法,可见此经卷应为吴叡隶书之佳作。
此书作于元元统三年(1335年),吴氏时年38岁。吴叡传世书法作品较少,《道德经》为其隶书代表作,结体整齐工稳,字形大小一律,笔法方圆互用。虽有汉隶规模,而实依唐隶风范,五千言文字一气呵成,且无一懈笔,功力可观。

Lao Tzu Tao Te Ching Volume, Yuan, Wu Rui Shu, Li Shu, Paper Book, 24.8 cm in length and 400.7 cm in breadth.
This volume is the full text of Tao Te Jing written by Wu Rui as Lao Tzu, a Book of "Xubi Taoist priest".
Signature: "In the third year of the Yuan Dynasty, the first lunar month of 1911, Wu Rui of Puyang wrote in Guanfutang as a Xubi Taoist priest." Section under Jun "Wu Rui Private Seal".
The seal of "Xiangyuanbian Collection", "Molin Secret Play", "Zhang Bojun Fan's Skillful Painting and Calligraphy Seal", "Yier Sons", "Zhang Zizhi'an Secret Seal", "Ongboda's" and so on.
At the end of the volume, there is a seven-character poem with Ming beard and an inscription.
This volume of "Tao Te Jing" is preceded by a white sketch "Lao Tzu's Sutra Tu" and the collection seals of Qianlong, Jiaqing and Xuantong Neifu in the Qing Dynasty. In the lower left corner of the picture, Yuan Shengmao's works were collected with paintings, but they were not written by Sheng's writers after textual research, and they were not mentioned in the postscript of An Tiaozi on the back paper. As for Wu Rui's calligraphy, it can be seen that this volume should be a masterpiece of Wu Ruili's works.
This book was written in the third year of Yuan Dynasty (1335). Wu was 38 years old. Wu Rui's handed down calligraphy works are few, and the Tao Te Jing is his representative work of Li Shu. It is tidy and stable, with uniform font size and reciprocal strokes. Despite the scale of Han Li, but according to the style of Tang Li, 5000 words were written in one go, and there is no slack pen, and the strength is considerable.
