　　吴下辱知杜琼奉书原博状元修譔阁下：自阁下荣登二元，名闻天下，诚不负所学如此。捷音远来，老朽辈知之岂胜欣跃。即欲为诗相贺，奈缘衰病鲜悰，不能成句。欲写书札，升天之难。所以一向负谴，惟心谅之。此门又不得频诣府为庆，惟荷令尊老大夫常常招请以陪上宾，此情此意，何可当哉。然益区区媿感也。少白小园延绿之亭，近为大风雨所摧。儿辈乃重建之，使不绝款宾逸老之所在。是亭也，前有陈永之之记，吴中缙绅继作长篇短章已盈卷矣。今欲拜求阁下作重建延绿亭记一首，倘不鄙而赐允，必有勉厉吾儿曹及有激予衰懦者。惟阁下矜之。仆犬马之齿，将及八旬，诚气息厌厌之日，百事皆嫰之时，独于好贤好文之心，则念念不忘焉。惟阁下矜之。不宣。

　　此帖是杜琼写给吴宽的书信。吴宽于明成化八年（1472年）参加会试、廷试，皆第一，即杜琼所谓“荣登二元”——会元、状元，随后授翰林院修撰。杜琼信中请吴宽为杜家私园延绿亭“作重建延绿亭记”。信写于壬辰（成化八年，1472年）中秋时，这一年杜琼已77岁，且多病，两年后便去世了。此帖结字瘦长，点划细润工丽，精劲俊峭，具有文人气质。

This is a letter from Du Qiong to Wu Kuan. Wu Kuan participated in the conference and court examinations in the eighth year of Chenghua Ming Dynasty (1472). First, Du Qiong's so-called "Rongdeng Dual" - Huiyuan and Zhuangyuan, and then gave them to Hanlin College for compilation. In Du Qiong's letter, Wu Kuan was asked to "record the rebuilding of Yan Green Pavilion" in Du's private garden. The letter was written in the Mid-Autumn Festival of Renchen (Chenghua 8 years, 1472), when Du Qiong was 77 years old and sick, and died two years later.
