--------Introduction in English--------
"Mr. Oriental Painting Praise Stele" volume, Ming, Dong Qichang book, paper, regular script, 24.5 cm in length, 558.6 cm in horizontal.
At the end of the volume, I realized that Yan Shangshu's stele was originated from Su Xueshu's book. The world-known Su Xu Haoyin is an ear of Xingkai. In the year of flea, Duo Pagoda Stele is imitated by Picture Zan, which is still like Gala's dancing. The night before New Year's Eve. Dong Qichang." The first four words in front of the volume are "Shen Zhi Zen". After the volume, there are four inscriptions and postscripts, including Song Bolu, Pei Jingfu, Li Yumei, Shen Yinmo, the Taoist priest of Huabi. There are 28 inscriptions in Yinjun, such as "Qianlong Imperial View Treasure", "Sanxitang Exquisite Inscription Seal" and "Shiqu Treasure Point".
This volume is about Tang Yan Zhenqing's "Stele Praise of Eastern Shuo Portraits" (the stele is in Lingxian County, Shandong Province). It was written on December 29, the 34th year of Wanli (1606), when Dong Qichang was 52 years old, shortly after he was forced to resign as an assistant envoy of Huguang School.
This volume master, Yan Zhenqing, has excellent writing skills, vigorous brushwork and lofty artistic conception. It is the representative masterpiece of Dong's regular script in middle age. Qing Pei Jingfu calls it the beauty of "clouds and cranes traveling in the sky and playing in the sea". The inscription of the first volume of the inscription, "Mr. Oriental Painting Praise Stele by Dr. Han Dazhong" is a rare seal book work.
At the beginning of his 17-year-old career, Dong studied calligraphy with Yan Zhenqing's "Duo Pagoda Tie" as his tenet. For decades, he had been constantly facing the habit of Yan Shu, and avoided the "vulgar" style of writing with his simple face.
